Passeio autoguiado pelo Atlântico Sul numa E-Bike

O CAMINHO

The southern route presents the chance to have nothing but the ocean by our side.

This route features a dedicated cycle lane stretching for 34km / 21 miles.

Beyond the picturesque ocean coast, we can encounter beautiful beaches with ample sandy shores, along with bars and hidden gems like a chapel constructed atop a rock in the midst of the beach.

Para um passeio tranquilo, com pouco ou nenhum tráfego e uma ciclovia que cobre quase todo o trajeto, este é o percurso recomendado.

the route

  • Where the journey starts and ends.

We will welcome you here, and provide you the best quality e-bikes in town, with a lock and a helmet!

This would also be the place to return your e-bike!

  • Said by the locals to be the best place to see Porto.

This is where most of the cellars are located, which can be a fun outting before or after your bike ride!

  • The place to go for lunch.

Afurada is a small fishing village that still maintains her autenticy, but also a modern touch.

From small family-run restaurants where you’ll be gretead by the fishermens families to the more comtemporary and elegant restaurants, we can definetely enjoy some nice fresh fish or seafood.

As you wander through the village, you’ll notice narrow streets and outdoor grills. Even if you don’t see them, the aroma and smoke from the grills will surely lead you to your next meal.

Clothes being washed and hanged close to some small and old boats (rabelos) will probably be also spotted - a place where traditions remain alive, just as they always have and should be.

  • Here, you’ll find a variety of boats docked, from small fishing vessels to luxurious yachts.

This vibrant spot comes alive with charming restaurants, exciting nautical activities, and a relaxed atmosphere that effortlessly puts you in “vacation mode.”

  • 34 km / 21 miles of breathtaking ocean views, just you and your e-bike.

You’ll easily spot the bike lane after the marina, marked by its distinctive red floor and two separate lanes.

From this point on, it’s smooth cruising all the way!

Check here a sky view of what is waiting for you!

  • This serene location is a protected area, free from construction, boats, and even human interference, ensuring a safe haven for birds to nest when the time is right.

It also safeguards the unique fauna and flora that thrive under the estuary’s special conditions.

At the end of the estuary, the vast ocean awaits to greet you in all its majestic beauty.

  • Charming and truly unique, this is a must-visit spot along your journey.

Lock your e-bike and take a moment to walk up the stairs behind the chapel.
From there, enjoy a stunning perspective of the waves crashing against the shore.

    — Located 4 km (2.5 mi) or about 1 hour and 30 minutes from our shop, this makes for the perfect turning point if you’re on a half-day rental! —

  • Coastal town with a casino.

Beyond this unique feature, you’ll find a laid-back beach vibe.
The heart of the city revolves around the coast, where most of the activity takes place.

Along your route, you’ll spot a casino. Just remember: the only guaranteed way to win at a casino is by not going inside!

    — While the cycle lane continues further south, we recommend checking your remaining battery, adjusting your assistance level if needed, and starting your journey back to our shop. The return trip is 22 km (14 mi). —
